Birthday

Its my birthday,in half an hour,6th of march...
Im waiting in my room , while my friends are planning a small session of cake cutting.
Its a day I dont look forward to at all,not because of the fact that I am aging, and its nothing great about that. Well it's also about that, but basically its a day when you have expectations and when unexpected makes you guilty. I am not talking about gifts. It'll be the day when after a whole year of going for other's birthday surprises,or after throwing a party for others , you wait for a,return of atleast some of the same. You'll expect wishes from a certain number of people, not because its a big thing, just that it'll be good to know that they cared enough to remember.

Then, there are certain others who wish , gives a gift even though you don't remember even the month of their birthdays. Tada! Guilt.

Warning<alone>

Im sitting here in between a lot of apron clad people, a professor of medicine talking about dietary requirements.
The results of an exam came, cant believe that people were crying about their marks,c'mon people, we're 21!
What I can't understand is people  who expected to fail in a few subjects also are crying! I mean they expected this.
Then it hit me,its not because they failed, its because their friends passed! Pathetic people.

As I spend more and more time facing these realities of how people are, im just getting scared of the future. I certainly don't want to involve myself with such people.

Yeah, my exams are over. Came home from my hostel for 2 days. Never been so ill prepared for exams my whole life. I'm a third year medical student! 2 more years, and I am an intern! But I have a hell lot to learn before I start to actually take a scalpel and steth. I love reading the medicine, its very intresting and gets better every time you read about diseases and conditions you've come across.

Its very wierd, its like i know a whole different language. I can understand each and everything they say in house now, unlike when I was new to all this when i had to keep wikipedia next to me while watching it.
Its an amazing series. For people who have never watched it yet, you're missing something big.

I watched this movie Julie and Julia . It was in HBO and i came across it. It was a good movie.
I just had to write a post after seeing it. Not that i want to be famous or anything though i won't mind being famous too.

This is hilarious lmao

Harsh realities of life (or I need help)

I have evolved(or is the opposite of evolve) from being an optimist to a pessimist and a cynic. What I have realised is that if you want to be happy, start expecting the least from other people. If they helped you even if it is to pick up a pen from the ground,be happy that they did it for you. Because what I've seen 75% are selfish, arrogant, rude and most importantly soo full of themselves. And the 25% left, will soon lose hope in the world and join the latter. If you actually want to be happy, derive  your happiness from things other than people, like good books, good movies, nature, weather, writing all those hobby stuff. Or the best strangers. People are the best when they are strangers. They are on their best behaviour.

Prologue

Saint-A person of great holiness, virtue and benevolence
Transient-Not lasting,enduring or permanent

Am I a saint? NO WAY!!!!!
Am I transient? well, yeah all of us are transient.

Transient Saint- well it doesn't make much sense.

Disclaimer: I cant guarantee that this blog will make sense to everyone reading it.

I am a lazy young doctor in the making, and by lazy I mean ,my university final exam for the year is in 7 days
and I am creating a blog instead of cramming my ass off with books as thick as order of the phoenix and prisoner of azkaban combined.{that's right i belong the lucky generation who got to grow up with harry}.

Everyone's life is twisted and turned ,so is mine. Instead of discovering answers en route, I keep coming across questions after questions. My experiences, my twisted life.

AUM BHOOR BHUWAH SWAHA,
TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM
BHARGO DEVASAYA DHEEMAHI

DHIYO YO NAHA PRACHODAYAT.

Gayatri Mantra(the mother of the vedas), the foremost mantra in hinduism and hindu beliefs, inspires wisdom. Its meaning is that "May the Almighty God illuminate our intellect to lead us along the righteous path".
